Titanium 3.0 + Sublime Text Integration
Recently I have been diving into the wonderful world of App development for iOS with Titanium 3.0 Alloy. One of the initial things I had to setup was Titanium Studio IDE which is basically Eclipse IDE. I don’t know about you but personally I hate Eclipse. Always has looked ugly and ran like crap, probably because its built with Java. Anyhow on a day to day basis I use Sublime Text to write...

My life in Techstars
This year by far has been a crazy one for me, I recalled saying back in March after my big Geek Tour 2011 that I only hoped to set foot in NYC again this year. Little did I know that I would end up living there for almost four months!
Earlier this year I started working for a start-up called zferral which provides online referral marketing software to businesses of all sizes. Standard SaaS style...

iPhone Location Tracking Issue
Ever wondered if that nifty smart phone in your pocket is tracking where you go? Maybe you haven’t? Well in reality if your GPS/location is enabled and by default it is then you might have guessed right that your phone is indeed tracking and logging your locations. Going as far as time-stamping every update as well.
Further more not only is it storing your data, but storing it in a simple...

A Hilarious Moment
I thought this was funny, maybe you will to:
So today I was at Ikea with my mom, quick lil trip to look at and price some things and have some lunch. Ikea food rocks! So anyhow… once we ate and got done walking around the top floor we then went to head down to the first floor. Upon walking down the stairs I notice a guy and girl heading up the stairs. The guy was wearing the standard Apple...

Too many questions...
As I said in my last post (please read it.) and promised to blog more so here we go!
Not that much has changed since the last posting, still a lot of questions and uncertainties up in the air right now. Still 1000 ways I can go with different things. Gotta start locking down and figuring out things. Most things I’m just taking day-by-day right now. Especially with my emotions, we...

Life Update...
I feel like using this blog again for what I originally used it for.. blogging about my life.
So from now on this will be a mix of personal thoughts, random things I like, etc.
So for todays blurb…
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about many different things in my life. One being my plans for the next few months, years, etc. Figuring out what I want to do, who I want to be...

Geek Tour 2011
Hey guys, so I’m going to try to start blogging here more often, but to start here is a post explaining my trip that is coming up in March. I’ve been asked the details about this several times so here you go! =)
The Trip
Last year my friend @alexeckermann (from Australia) and I got to talking one late night on Skype and decided that we wanted to do a trip across the US. For awhile...

What did you wanna be when you were 5?
Oh god… I really don’t recall… If I had to recall something from my child-hood I think I wanted to be a Imagineer or Animatronics Engineer for Disney.

MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME THAT IS OR...
Okay lets set something straight right here where most of the people I know will see it. This applies to friends in general, most I know from Polk Co. and this does NOT apply to anyone other than friends. Take this however you want, I’m done putting up with the following: 1. I’m NOT going to continue letting people use me for various tasks. A: getting <insert item here>. B: may I...

Code Refactoring Really Does Matter
Okay Okay! I get it now! Code Refactoring is a plus, I’ve recently taken a nice gander in doing so. I find that taking that extra bit of time to go back and refactor code even to the slightest bit helps in many ways. Ex: Speed Optimization, Load Optimization, Readability, and Reducing overly-complex code.
Give it some thought next time you write code, shoot this could with a different...

Daily Quotes
I find posting a random daily quote that I find true to be quite satisfying. It’s like a good motivational poster, it helps you think and it opens your eyes. It also gives insight on some of the best authors before our time. :)
I hope you enjoy these daily quotes.
Cheers

Tumblr vs Website
I’ve found lately that I’ve been posting a bit more to my Tumblr vs my normal website, go figure! So anyhow I feel that is because this is more of a random, simple blog to post to vs my website, plus here I can be a bit more random with my postings.
Thoughts?
Cheers!
Have you wanted to ask me something?

Apple Keynote Thoughts
I’m overall quite impressed with the iPad so far, though it is missing a few key features and it’s name is less than perfect, iSlate would have been a lot better IMHO. Still its not bad for a $499 starting price-point, however I don’t agree with the $130+ additional cost for a WIFI+3G version.
Missing Key Features:
Lacks a Webcam, would be nice to have one on each side, one...
My Apple thoughts for the coming months
I suspect that Apple at WWDC in june will release 4.0 and the new iPhones with non-sim carrier support (aka verizon) as in June the agreement between Apple and AT&T will be up (however it may not be now that the iPad is coming out with AT&T 3G support.)
Also anyone with an original iPhone will NOT be able to run 4.0 when it does come out due to hardware limitations, similar to how the...
My iWish List for tomorrows Apple event
I couldn’t agree more with what Alex has said.
alexeckermann:
In order of want:
New MacBook Pro’s with Quad Cores in all models (13”-17”)
iPhone OS 4.0
The Tablet (don’t really care for it as much)
Stream purchased iTunes content via browser on any computer w/o iTunes library
Cloud services for iWork (a better one, like Google Docs) and other products
New iWork and/or iLife

Trying out Tumblr.
This is my first test post of using Tumblr, after I re-stumbled upon it thanks to Alex Eckermann. I hope that with the ease of use of this service that I will start publishing more articles weither it be big or small. Might even redirect my main site’s blog to here as well :)
